Federal Bank opens its 4th Currency Chest in Kerala at Kallettunkara


Kochi: Federal Bank has opened its fourth currency chest in Kerala at Kallettunkara in Thrissur District. This is the sixth Currency chest of Federal Bank pan India after Aluva, Kozhikode, Mumbai, Chennai and Attingal.

The currency chest was inaugurated by Nirmal Chand, Regional Director for Kerala & Lakshadweep, RBI, Thiruvananthapuram) today. In his inaugural address, he mentioned that the Currency Chest at Kalletumkara is the second mega currency chest in the State of Kerala.

Shalini Warrier, Chief Operating Officer, Federal Bank; N V Sunny, DGM & ZH, Federal Bank Ernakulam; Antu Joseph, General Manager – Business & Products, Federal Bank; and Jayalakshmi P, AGM & RH, Federal Bank, Irinjalakuda; were among those present on the occasion.

Meanwhile introducing the facility to receive remittances in New Zealand Dollar currency, Federal Bank has launched FCNR deposit scheme in New Zealand Dollar Currency. The Bank has entered into a tie-up arrangement with ANZ Bank, New Zealand for cross border remittances in New Zealand Dollar, including trade and personal remittances.

In his remarks, Antu said that the product comes as a New Year gift to the Bank’s customers in New Zealand. The scheme is available across all branches of the Bank.
