Kochi: As part of its Women Entrepreneurship (WE) Mission, the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) is organizing the ‘Women Entrepreneurs’ (WE) Summit 2015’ on November 19, 2015, at Kochi.
The Summit, to be held at Bolgatty Event Centre, is a one-day event for successful women entrepreneurs in the State, who are in a position to scale up their activities. More than 1,000 invited women entrepreneurs from across the State are expected to take part.
According to a press note from KSIDC, Chief Minister, Shri Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the Summit that will be presided over by the Minister for Industries & IT, Shri P K Kunhalikutty.
The inaugural session will be followed by sectoral sessions during which the participants will be able to interact with renowned industrialists, government officials, research institutes, experts from various fields and successful technopreneurs.
Retailing – the emerging opportunities for MSMEs, Scaling up ventures: sourcing the fund, Exploring new business opportunities in food processing & hi-tech farming, and Garments & fashion industry: tapping global markets – the Kerala way, are the topics for sessions.
The interactive sessions will provide the women entrepreneurs an opportunity to meet the stalwarts of the industry. They would also be able to meet e-commerce experts, and explore opportunities to tie up with global retail major such as Wal-Mart. One-to-one meetings with successful women entrepreneurs across sectors will help them identify areas of opportunities. The Summit will give the participants an insight into various fields such as marketing, finance, technology, mentoring and collaboration.
An exhibition of products and services by key agencies supporting women entrepreneurs is also arranged as part of the Summit.
