Trivandrum: In order to provide better service to the Bank’s customers and to the general public by way of information on products and services, support and guidance on banking matters, redressal of issues faced by customers etc., the State Bank of Travancore has launched a customer care centre facility in Thiruvananthapuram, manned by the Bank’s own staff.
The customer care centre facility ‘SBT CARE’ was inaugurated by Jeevandas Narayan, Managing Director of SBT in the presence of E K Harikumar, Chief General Manager (Retail Banking) and S Adikesavan, Chief General Manager (Commercial Banking); at the inaugural function held at LIC Complex at Pattom in Thiruvananthapuram where the facility is housed. All General Managers and staff of the Bank were also present in the function.
Callers will be able to access the facility through the Toll Free number 1800-425-7733. Callers on the Toll Free number will be provided information on Loan and Deposit products. Other services offered include ATM Card trouble shooting, Internet Banking support, Mobile banking support, receipt of complaints and grievances etc.
The facility will function from 8 am to 8 pm on week days. Unlike call centres, SBT CARE will be manned by staff of the Bank with good banking exposure to ensure caller satisfaction. Person to person contact with minimum IVRS is another feature to ensure caller satisfaction. IVRS is being used (i) to choose language and (ii) call back option during busy hours and beyond working hours of the facility.
The Bank also rolled out a Missed Call facility. Account holders with mobile phone numbers registered with the Bank can give a Missed Call on the Toll Free Number 1800 270 2525 and they will get an SMS immediately showing their account balance.
