MSME meet on value added agriculture & food processing on Mar 27

Trivandrum: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) are jointly organizing an ‘MSME Meet 2015: Value Added Agriculture & Food Processing’ on March 27, 2015 at Thiruvananthapuram.

The Meet will bring together collective knowledge, thought leadership and definitive direction to enable sustainable food manufacturing products. It will encourage participation of members from across the spectrum of the agro food processing value chain. The Meet will also provide a platform to exchange business ideas and experience between MSMEs and Financial Institutions, to update relevant information about Safety, Standards, Regulations, and Future of Agro & Food Processing Industry.

According to a communiqué from CII, the key speakers expected at the meet are Dr. M Beena IAS, MD of KSIDC; Navas Meeran, Chairman of Eastern Group; Shivdas B Menon, Managing Director of Sterling Group of Companies; D Sivakumar, Joint Commissioner – Food Safety (Enforcement) Government of Kerala; S V Thampy, Authorised Officer (Cochin Sea Port & Air Port) Food Safety & Standards Authority of India, Government of India; Dr. K P Sudheer, Associate Prof in Food Processing Technology, Kelappaji College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology; Dr. Babu Thomas, Director – Marketing, HLL Lifecare Ltd.; Ramesh Tenkil, Chief General Manager, NABARD; S Adikesavan, Chief General Manager, State Bank of Travancore; Vinod Manjilla, Partner, Manjillas Food Products; Mathew Antony, Kerala State Secretary, Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Association (AMMA); Mr Alex Thomas, Managing Director, Tierra Food India Pvt.
