Trivandrum: mobD, an innovative mobile diagnostics and health clinic, has entered into a partnership with She Taxi, India’s first ever technology-enabled women-only taxi to make available quality and affordable healthcare while on the go. Governor of Kerala, Justice P Sathasivam inaugurated the service called ‘Health on the Go’ in Thiruvananthapuram today.
Reflecting on mobD’s philosophy of bringing value, quality and convenience to healthcare, the Governor said that the mobD – She Taxi partnership will help enhance provision of healthcare services to the needy while providing mobile healthcare as well as safe and reliable transportation for children, women and the elderly.
In his address, Minister for Social Justice, Dr M K Muneer said ‘Health on the Go’ will be part of ‘We Care Cops’, an initiative that aims to create one lakh volunteers across the State to care for patients with Alzheimer’s disease and Dementia and asked mobD to lend its support in realising the objectives of ‘We Care Corps’. He also added that as She Taxi drivers are trained for first-aid activities, they can help the emergency patients and accident victims during the golden hour.
The function saw Harish Haridas, Founder & CEO of mobD and Dr. P T M Sunish, CEO of Gender Park hand over the first ‘Health on the Go’ card to the Governor. The Governor handed over first-aid boxes to Dr. Muneer, digital glucometers and training certificate to Dr. K P Haridas, CMD of Lords Hospital. The Governor also gave away mobD Advantage Card to Dr. Sunish.
With this association, all She Taxis of the Gender Park under the Social Justice Department will be equipped with basic health facilities such as first-aid kits and digital glucometers required to provide immediate help in the event of an illness.
The mobD Advantage Card entitles SheForce, as the women drivers are called, to free health check up every quarter, free lifetime registration at partner hospital, Lords Hospital and discounts across all treatments, including imaging and laboratory services. mobD is offering these facilities and services free of cost.
