Kochi: Europe’s second largest baby diaper maker, SCA has launched its wide range of baby products in Kerala. Kerala is the second State the brand has targeted on its entry to India.

Libero has introduced skin friendly natural ingredients for baby’s healthy skin in its various products. Recently, the Indian Medical Academy also partnered with Libero to educate the public on benefits of using diapers for child health and hygiene promotion using various platforms of public health programmes.

Speaking on the occasion, Cecilia Edebo, Managing Director of SCA and a mother of two children said, “SCA is excited to launch Libero products which have natural ingredients including aloe vera, vitamin E, chamomile and olive oil that cares the baby’s health skin. Addressing the concern of Indian mothers and combining global experience and best practices with local insights, Libero will care for all aspects of a babycare.”

SCA is one of the world’s largest players in the baby diaper segment, with a number two position in Europe. In September, SCA announced its plans to set up a manufacturing facility for hygiene products with an investment of about SEK 150 million (around Rs. 145 crore) in India. The facility is expected to commence production in 2015.

SCA has developed a unique skin friendly range of diapers & toiletries for India which addresses the key diaper usage barrier as Indian mothers believe that disposable diapers cause skin rashes.
