Dhanam Group announces Business Awards for 2011

Kochi: Dhanam business magazine has announced its annual business awards for the year 2011.  Bobby Jacob, Managing Director, Anna-Kitex Group, has been selected for the prestigious Dhanam Businessman of the Year Award. Four new annual awards have been instituted by the Dhanam Group from this year. Finance Minister Shri K M Mani will present the awards at the Dhanam Business Summit & Award Nite on May 26, 2012.

Bobby Jacob, MD of the multi-crore Anna-Kitex Group, is the second-generation vanguard of a great legacy of successful entrepreneurship left behind by his illustrious father, late M C Jacob. Under the dynamic leadership of Bobby, the Group is on a fast track of growth. “His dynamism is backed up by his clear grasp of things and practical realities coupled with uncompromising commitment to quality,” noted the judging panel headed by leading Chartered Accountant Venugopal C Govind.

M Ayyappan, is one of the highly successful business professionals Kerala has ever produced. It goes to his credit that HLL Lifecare, a Thiruvananthapuram-based mini ratna company, is today the leading social marketing organisation in the country in the area of contraceptives with a market share of over 70% in the rural and semi-urban markets.

Dr Azad Moopen won the award for effectively combining professional and management excellence with philanthropic activities to create one of the fastest growing healthcare chains in the Middle East and Kerala.

Joseph Mathew Sankurikal heads the Prime Group which introduced in Kerala the sandwich panels to replace asbestos and metal roofings and heat-insulated wall panels in metal and non-metal finishes.

Sheela Kochouseph is responsible for the establishment of V-Star Creations, the first Kerala-based company to hit the market with branded ready-to-wear apparel for women. Under her vibrant leadership the company is today a leading player in the field of women’s wear, men’s wear and kids innerwear.

On May 26, the Finance Minister will also preside over and inaugurate a Summit themed, Leadership Mantras for the Challenging Times. P N C Menon, Founder Chairman, Sobha Group, will be the Guest of Honour; Subash Menon, Founder Chairman, MD & CEO, Subex will deliver the keynote address. Roy M Mathew, Group Chairman, Muthoot Mini, will felicitate the award winners.
