Kochi: The Noida based Vasu Coco Resorts will be soon opening four new projects in Kerala. Vasundhara Sarovar Premiere, the company’s first property at Vayalar in Alappuzha District is managed by Sarovar Hotels and Resorts. The luxury resort is spread over 7 acres on the banks of Vembanad Lake and built with an investment of Rs.70 crore.
Dr. P Vasudevan, Managing Director, Vasu Coco Resorts said, “Apart from Vasundhara Sarovar, we have three more projects coming up in Kerala. The next one is an ayurvedic resort with 12 cottages at Kodumb and one at Mannarkad, both in Palakkad district. The fourth project is a heritage village at Thuravoor in Alappuzha District where we plan to relocate nine Nalukettu houses (old traditional style houses).”
Vasundhara Sarovar Premiere offers 60 lake facing rooms, including floating cottages and heritage villas. A traditional Kerala home Nalukettu has been relocated for guests. The resort also has a two-bedroom luxury houseboat with a private Jacuzzi on the upper deck. The dining options at the resort include all-day dining restaurant and a seafood speciality restaurant. There is also a poolside café and a bar. The banquet facilities can host events for up to 250 guests and conferences for up to 120 guests.

This is Sarovar Hotels and Resorts’ second property in Kerala after the Gokulam Park in Kochi. The company plans to open another 50-room facility, Sarovar Portico, Thekkady next year.
Sarovar Hotels currently operates 59 hotels under brands Sarovar Premiere, Sarovar Portico, Hometel, Park Plaza and Park Inn. Both Park Plaza and Park Inn in India are under a franchise agreement with Carlson Hotels Worldwide.
