Kochi: Family Businesses contributes 60-70 percent of GDP of most developed and developing countries. India is no exception. Most of the Business families face unique management challenges because of the differences in the attitude and aspirations of family members. CII along with FBN (International) has formed CII-FBN (India) chapter with an aim of creating a nationally representative body of members of families owning and managing family owned business in India.
CII-FBN (India) is organizing the Kerala Family Business Meet on August 12, 2011 at Kochi which will provide a platform to share and synthesize the influence of family traditions across cultures in such a globalized world where unconventional approaches may have to be developed to sustain and strengthen family ties.
The meet will see leading family business owners investigate how family business values help in strengthening the business, including issues like Family Policies, Managing Succession, Unity, tolerance & responsibility. Some case studies of Indian Family will also be discussed. The sessions are targeted at Owners or Family Members of a Family Business, Next Generation Members of a Family Business, Good for Multiple Members and Multiple Generations of a Family, Non-family Executive and Non-family Board Members.
