Livares launch Labha Prabha mobile app for KSEB

Trivandrum: Livares Technologies, a start-up based in Thiruvananthapuram has launched a mobile application for the KSEB’s Labha Prabha SMS Scheme. The mobile app will help a consumer to use the scheme without worrying about SMS format and participate in the scheme very easy.

Labha Prabha is an energy conservation scheme of the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB). The scheme, launched as part of promotion of energy conservation practices among domestic consumers, offer cash incentives and a number of other prizes. The scheme aims to improve demand-side management through an incentive scheme in order to ensure public participation.

According to Aneesh Chandran, COO, Livares Technologies, “Most of the people find it difficult to remember the SMS format they need to send to participate in this scheme. In order to overcome this difficulty, Livares has launched Labha Prabha mobile Android app in association with the KSEB. It is available for download on Google Play.”

According to the scheme, consumers interested in joining the drive will have to register themselves by sending an SMS to 9287088808 in the following format: KSEB (space) Section code (space) Consumer number. The consumer will get a message in reply, indicating his/her average consumption. KSEB would also guide the consumer in the procedures to participate in the drive and provide information on how to reduce energy consumption. The information on prize won by each consumer will also be sent via SMS.

Using the Labha Prabha mobile app, consumers can now do the Registration by providing their Section code and Consumer number, add and store their reading in the app and also search the saved reading and send to KSEB, whenever they want in a single click.

Sathyarajan J, Joint Director – IT, KSEB said, “The Labha Prabha Android mobile application was developed by Livares Technologies in discussion with the KSEB’s IT team. The app is very useful to customers and it will help them to participate in the scheme with ease. The app also provides facility for consumer to store and send meter reading to KSEB without any complication.”
