Trivandrum: The city pushed behind Mumbai and matched Chennai in the number of winners on the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 India 2014, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in India.
Three city companies based in Thiruvananthapuram, all members of Group of Technology Companies (GTech), the industry body of software companies in Kerala and working out of the Technopark campus were picked on the list.
Attinad Software was ranked 10th, whereas Triassic Solutions got the 24rd position and Sristhti Innovative Computer Solutions, 50th. Rankings are based on percentage revenue growth over three years. Thiruvananthapuram is the only Tier-2 city to have more than one winner. Mohammed Rijas of Attinad, Siva Kumar S K of Triassic and Krishnadas Pisharam of Sristhti, the respective Chief Executives received the awards in Bangalore.
Attinad, an IT services and software product engineering company, grew 384 percent in revenues during the period. Rijas, credits Attinad’s cutting edge products and solutions in SMAC space with the company’s revenue growth over the past three years.
Sivakumar said that the dedication of Triassic’s employees and partners and the trust placed upon them by the clients were key to the success, while Pisharam, attributed it to Srishti’s ability to adapt to changing market dynamics and constant innovation. Triassic had recorded 206 percent growth and Srishti 119 percent.
“Some of the SMEs in the State have shown phenomenal growth in the past few years. Such recognition would not only be a boost to the industry, but also enhance the profile of the city as a sought after IT destination”, said Anoop P Ambika, Secretary of GTech, in a press release.
A large majority of the winners are from Tier-1 IT destinations in the country. Bangalore companies continue to lead the way with 17 Companies in Top 50. NCR is second with eight. Pune and Hyderabad has six each.
