Kochi: HP has launched in Kerala, the HP Slate 21, touted to be the all-in-one touch PC with commercial grade Android designed for productivity in office, education and kiosk environments.
The HP Slate 21 boasts of a compelling new generation of local and cloud based business apps, access to over a million apps on Google Play, efficient manageability tools and security enhancements thanks to its Android 4.3 OS.
With a 21.5 inch display of IPS 1920 x 1080 resolution full HD widescreen with LED backlight, it has a two point optical touch screen using three cameras. The HP Slate 21 has a 16:9 wide aspect ratio up to 178° viewing angles. It has a Nvidia Tegra Quad Core T40S Processor (1.66 GHz Dual Core/ Single Core made up to 1.8 GHz), memory of 1 GB DDR3-800 MHz SDRAM and flash storage of 8GB eMMC.
The HP Slate 21 weighs 6.16 kg and is sleek in its 20.9” x 3.25” x 14.4” dimension. The Audio / Visual aspect of this touch enabled PC has DTS Sound with two integrated stereo speakers (2W x 2W), an integrated 720 pixel HD webcam with a built in microphone. Wi-Fi Direct is supported alongside Bluetooth 4.0 and integrated 10/100 Ethernet. There are three side ports and five rear ports, ensuring optimal connecting facilities, not to mention the Bluetooth HP keyboard and optical scroll mouse that act as input devices. It also supports external hard disk.
The variety of software titles the HP Slate comes preloaded with include Kingsoft Office, Adobe PDF, HP file manager, Citrix Receiver for added productivity, Citrix Worx for manageability optimization, Google Hangouts, Drive, Skype etc which make this a fully read to use touch screen PC.
