Kochi: The sprawling campus of Infopark will soon have a star-rated international business class hotel in its premises with state-of-the-art recreational facilities for the benefit of business travellers and top-level executives from India and abroad.
A lease agreement for the same was inked between Infopark, Kochi and the Bangalore based Brigade Group for developing the hotel in 97 cents of land inside the IT park. The lease agreement was initialled by Hrishikesh Nair, CEO of Infopark, and Vineet Varma, Executive Director – Hospitality Division of Brigade Group.
In a statement, Hrishikesh said, “Through a published tender, Infopark has leased 97 cents of land to Brigade for 90 years. They will come up with a world class hotel in the park. The IT companies operating in the park could be benefitted from the project as the hotel will offer services to the clients and other top executives who are visiting the IT units from abroad.”
Commenting on the project, Vineet said, “It would be a landmark project. We will zero in on an international hotel brand for the project, which is to be developed by meeting the timeline specified in the lease agreement.”
The hotel will boast all the facilities of a star hotel. It will have banquet services, business meeting halls and other recreation facilities. The project will help the business travellers to Kochi like in other metros of India.
“Over 130 companies are operating in the park and the hotel will cater to the needs of the clients and top-level executives of these companies. We see this opportunity as a long-term investment to grow our businesses here over the next few decades. We are happy to be associated with Infopark in this project,” added Vineet.
