Trivandrum: UST Global, a leading IT solutions and services company based in Technopark, Trivandrum, has started its operations in Denmark and will be starting in Ireland soon. This was disclosed by Alexander Varghese, Chief Administrative Officer of UST Global.
“We were one of the early companies from Kerala to enter Europe and set up a base in the United Kingdom about five years back and we definitely had the first mover advantage. Today 90% of our revenues in Europe come from the UK and we are expanding from there”, said Alex during his introductory note at the ‘Opportunities in the UK – the Innovation Hotspot’ organised by London & Partners in Thiruvananthapuram on November 22, 2013..
Talking on the sidelines of the event, Alex said that the company now has more than 100 resources in Denmark for a major client. About 500 other resources are supporting this client from their centre in Technopark, Trivandrum. “We have also recently signed up with a new client in Ireland and will be setting our operations there soon thus marking our expansion in Europe”, he added.
On the manpower front, UST Global has added some 4,000 professionals in the last two quarters thus taking the total tally to over 14,000 and maintaining its lead as the largest IT employer in Kerala.
Meanwhile, the company has taken up additional space inside the Technopark campus in Trivandrum and also across its centres in Chennai and Bangalore, to accommodate the growing workforce.
