Vodafone India launches new international roaming packs

New Delhi: Vodafone India, one of India’s leading telecommunications service providers, today launched new and attractive international roaming packs for both post-paid and pre-paid customers travelling abroad.

Covering 53 countries including popular business and tourist destinations such as UK, USA, UAE, Thailand and Singapore, these comprehensive packs offer 95% discount on data and up to 78% discount on outgoing local and international calls as compared with prevailing rates.

The international roaming packs are available for a rental of INR 599 and INR 1499 and come with a validity of 10 and 30 days respectively. For the list of applicable countries and networks, a subscriber need to SMS Pack<space>country to 111. To activate the pack of their choice, Vodafone subscribers only need to SMS ACT<space>IR1 for the INR 599 pack and ACT<space>IR2 for the INR 1499 pack.

With rates as low as INR 30/MB for data download while roaming overseas, the packs offer 95% discount on prevailing rates. Outgoing local and international calls will be charged at INR 15/min and INR 30/min respectively, a discount of almost 78% over prevailing rates. Incoming calls will cost INR 30/min (over 50% discount on prevailing rates). The INR 1499 plan in addition offers 30mins of free incoming calls.

The rental charges for the plan taken will feature in the next billing cycle for post-paid customers.
